Quality PU leather that is so soft and luxurious to the touch, I had to remind myself that it was not real alligator skin. Which is perfect for me because no animals were harmed in the making of this beautiful masterpiece. It is very well made and quite sturdy in its design. It was made for long term, daily use. I say this because of the quality of the manufacturing process. The hardware is made of strong material and will no doubt give me years of service. I say it this way because I am admittedly hard on my bags. I don't try to be, but if there's still free space in my bag, I will find something else I just "need" to take when I leave my home. So my purses and bags get a workout... This is my favorite bag in my whole purse collection. It is part of a beautiful purse trio and I received this set at a discounted price in exchange for my honest and unbiased opinion. It comes with a long adjustable (somewhat lighter shade of red) purse strap that can be attached to the large bag or the cross-body purse. It is made of smooth pu leather, so it appears lighter in color, but it goes perfectly fine with both purses. They are lined with a sturdy, long lasting material and have high quality zippers securely sewn into place. I most definitely recommend this bag trio.
